Our project « The Frame Maker » was selected to participate in the Stephanie von Lukowicz’s Documentary Producing Workshop in Yerevan, Armenia.
This workshop, co-organized by Filmadaran NGO, the Apricot Tree International Documentary Film Festival, Goethe Institute Armenia, the EU delegation in Armenia and EUNIC Armenia, in the context of the European Film Festival, welcomed 8 projects: 4 from Armenia, 2 from Georgia and 2 from Iran.
The event ended this Tuesday with a pitching session moderated by Stephanie von Lukowicz, during with director Sahan Sarhaddi got to present « The Frame Maker ».
Using the archives he found of his uncle, an Iranian photographer exiled in London, Sahand tells the hidden story of his family, which is a testimony of the political and social repression of a nation. The film is a conversation between two generations: the one that lived through the revolution and the one that inherited the consequences.
