Franck Sorbier, great couturier and master of the art, arrived on the fashion scene in 1987. Quick to make a name for himself, he and his wife Isabelle founded a designer ready-to-wear house, whose pieces found their way into all the major temples of the fashion world for almost a decade.
At the dawn of the 21st century, he turned the corner and fulfilled his dream by launching haute couture. Iconoclastic and unclassifiable, he invents a new material by recycling and transforming fabrics using his La compression© technique.
Acclaimed by his peers and recognized the world over, his creations are veritable “garments of art” that he and Isabelle create, usually alone in their workshop, in the manner of sculptors, surrounded by their birds.
Welcome to the dreamlike world of the Sorbiers, at the heart of their creations, in the intimacy of the workshop where, from thread to needle, the fabric is transformed into a work of art.
