In Bugey’s professional high school, young women rehearse a choreography of caregiving gestures, which are both deeply human and mechanical, and manipulate weird mannequins as if they were real persons. They talk about their childhood dreams, which contrast with the reasons that led them to this career path in the healthcare field: sometimes it’s fate, sometimes it’s a calling, most of the time it’s their social background.
